Getting there

The Westerwald can be found south-east of Cologne, in between Bonn and Frankfurt. Pfaffenseifen is located in the Northern Westerwald, near the mid-sized city Altenkirchen and just in the federal state of Rhineland-Pfalz (on the border of North Rhine-Westphalia). The Westerwald is easier te reach than the Eifel, from the Netherlands, by car (via the E3) as well as by train (ICE via Cologne). From Utrecht, it’s a just over three hours drive to Pfaffenseifen, by train you’ll be there in 4.5 hours. From England the easiest way is to fly to Cologne/Bonn airport and from there take the train to Au(Sieg), which takes less than one hour.
